We’re looking for a Junior Digital Project Manager to join our growing team here at Vixen Labs. This is an opportunity to grow and develop your production skills in an emerging and innovative sector of technology.
We are a voice technology agency, and we are proud to be one of the world’s leading strategy consultancies and app development studios for voice assistants and conversational AI. Put simply, we help global brands and businesses connect with audiences in the most intuitive way possible – with their voice. We work with brands from lots of industries including FMCG, entertainment, banking, food, games and more – which gives the work a real variety!
Over the past three years we have experienced continuing strong growth in revenue, client base and team size, and are looking to continue this by growing the team with the right people. Our specialised, industry-leading offering helps some of the world’s largest companies with all levels of implementing and leveraging voice technology; from structuring metadata for voice search, realising the opportunity for voice commerce, to producing and marketing exceptional voice experiences e.g apps in smart speakers. We are global partners to Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, as well as producing voice and conversational experiences for custom assistants.
To try out something we’ve made, why don’t you ask your Alexa to open the McDonald’s app or try Hand Wash Tunes from Sony Music…
WHO YOU ARE
You ideally have at least a couple of years of experience in a digital agency as a junior Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or similar role. You’re excited by the thought of working in a fast-paced, start-up environment, and keen to sink your teeth into a new challenge within the exciting world of voice technology.
You have had exposure in helping PM’ing or producing digital projects like websites, apps or chat bots, and if you’ve been exposed to Voice too that’s a bonus, but not essential. Maybe you’ve got a different background PM’ing or producing something else, that’s ok too! As long as you are organised, can help move projects along, have an understanding of best-practices and methodology in a broad range of projects, especially creative development and production processes, we’d love to hear from you. Essentially, if you’re a person who likes to get stuff done, this is a great job for you.
You are a natural multitasker and enjoy supporting your colleagues as they are creating scopes of work, estimating resource planning, booking external project requirements like user testing. You will also be a natural problem solver, unflappable and a steady support to colleagues and clients alike. So when a curve ball hits the team, and they will, you’re the calm voice in the room that says don’t worry guys, we can solve this. And we can.
Being involved in a lot of projects, you’ll enjoy seeing a project through from beginning to end, with an impressive attention to detail. You’re also a team player and willing to muck in on things not typically in your area of expertise. You’ll definitely learn some new things! In our team, we all wear many hats in the name of helping Vixen grow and deliver work we are proud of. You have the hunger and drive to develop yourself into a fully-fledged Project Manager. And your line manager will be committed to helping you get there.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You will confidently support your senior colleagues as they lead Vixen Labs voice projects, playing a vital part in the delivery for our clients to ensure we deliver the best possible output.
With the support of the team you will interact with our clients, maintaining clear communication and consistent delivery while using your proactivity to identify future opportunities and anticipate potential challenges that could impact delivery.
You will be involved from beginning to end of the project lifecycle and play a supporting role in SOW creation, concepting and requirements gathering, strategy, build, development roadmaps and reporting.
You will use Asana (where we assign the things), Slack (where we chat about the things), Google Workspace (where we store the things) and Notion (like our intranet). While the particular team members may change, you are the constant support glueing the process together and understanding the full context of the project / product.
And you will do all of this… in a great team! You will work in the production department alongside our Midweight Project Manager playing an active role in championing delivery to ensure we find creative solutions to all our challenges, and deliver projects on time and on budget. You shall be fully supported to make sure your skills are being honed and the room for skills to grow.
You will work towards being responsible for managing the budget on your own projects including cost, deliverables and staffing resources.
